Kristin Austin

Dr. Kristin Austin (she/her) is the Vice President of Culture & Community Impact at Rewriting the Code (RTC), a not-for-profit organization that empowers students and early career women in technology to belong in all spaces where the future is shaped. There, Dr. Austin cultivates belonging, drives social impact, and ensures RTC’s powerhouse talent connects with companies serious about impact-driven collaboration.

With over 23 years of experience in higher education and non-profit leadership, Kristin catalyzes strategies and nurtures relationships that honor diverse identities and foster a powerful community built on belonging. She guides RTC and its members through complex challenges with a deep commitment to impact and innovation.
Beyond advancing the health of RTC’s culture and community, Dr. Austin leads Social Impact partnerships that push access and advancement in tech from rhetoric to reality. She collaborates with industry leaders to turn commitments into action, building bridges between RTC’s powerhouse talent and companies eager to invest in them.
